I didn’t always work with dental equipment. For many years I worked as a technician in giant semiconductor cleanroom fabs keeping product running and maintaining metrology equipment. If you are unfamiliar with metrology, they were effectively 3D imaging systems that measured microscopic structures of a transistor. These machines were delicate, both is the tiny frail parts and in their behavior when things just weren’t quite right. Whether i was fine tuning a robot arm, aligning a 3-axis parabolic mirror, or tracing electrical signals to a short, everything had to be perfect…and in the end it had to be perfectly clean.

You patients expect and deserve the same from your equipment. It needs to be properly maintained, repaired, and monitored to ensure you can always provide the best care possible. My semiconductor background means I was trained to ensure my work is perfect every time. Until then, I am not done.
